I’m sorry to say but this party was not good.
I had my hopes up high, and it was over crowed, UNORGANIZED, and overall a waste.
I did not recieve everything that was promised in my giftbag. I did not see one orderve or appetizer all night long. I only able to get one drink all night and waited over 45mintues in some sort of crowd/line for my mani…and no pedi.
I was really disappointed.

This event was AWFUL. Waited outside in line for almost an hour, didn’t get my movie passes like I was promised, only 1 drink ticket instead of 2 we were told. Didn’t have time to do the mani cause the line was HUGE, waited forever for my drink in line. My giftbag was mostly just flyers. What a waste for $60! No more of your events for me thanks!

I agree with both Nessa and Jennifer. This event definitely did not deliver. I was there early, got both drink tickets and my movie ticket, but the venue was WAY too small for the amount of people that showed. It was hot, awkward, uncomfortable and very unorganized. With respect to the gift bags, I was told different information from employees and representatives on when and how to get them.
I was incredibly excited for this event. I also felt that it ended up more as a young mainstream meat market than a classy celebration as I felt it was advertised.
It was a huge disappointment. I got my gift bag and headed to another party long before midnight.

This was my first LongOverdew event and, as the previous girls’ comments, I was not impressed. Lineups to get in, totally overcrowded and hot inside, massive lineups for drinks because bars were not set up for such a large crowd (ran out of glasses, etc.), and they ran out of gift bags b/c there was no controlled process in place (I saw some people carrying 2 or 3!). XL underwear in my gift bag (what’s up with that?) lol
It was a good effort but a larger venue and a little more organization might have pulled it off.

I would say the event was 75% fun, and 25% pathethic for these reasons…
-the “bouncer” (if u even wanna call him that) was such a fucking loser. He let in, seriously, such tools and hanger on’s, while there was a hour wait for people in the line. The thing is, the people that the guy was letting in were not with the media, just random people, nobody special.
-half way through the party, a shitload of douchebag guys showed up (past the bouncer and in they went) and stood there, trying to see which girl they could mack on and try and take home. There’s nothing like a bunch of pretend rich guys trying to mislead girls.
-the confirmed guest list was a complete farse, it was and blow and no show.
But aside from that, the party was a hoot. Like seriously, it was fun! U have to admit that.

Hey.
Yeah I was kind of disappointed with this event. The venue was incredibly small for the amount of people that showed up and the line ups for the drinks and manicures where so long and cluttered. So I didn’t get one, along with my other three friends. We didn’t get two drinks, as promised; we only got one, and the same goes for the movie tickets. I got my gift bag but wasn’t that impressed. It wasn’t so much the money I spent for things I didn’t get, it was more so the experience of Sex and the City. I thought it would be more themed, with like booths that had trivia or something, or posters everywhere. Had it been in a bigger venue, and more organized, and had there not been randoms coming in and taking everyones gift bags, I think it would have turned out better.

Ok, firstly, i found the event was prepared well, but the crowd that came was what ruined it. For an event like this, you have to be mature. Like if you are going to an event with media and such, you could act more your age and be less party hardy. When I heard of the event, I knew it was high end where you mingle, enjoy the atmosphere and just have relaxed fun. I had a feeling and could tell that the invitations went out into the wrong hands and went overboard by the wrong people ruining it for others. People who came were a mix of mature socialites and then there were the immature people who were DRUNK in line, just there for the free things and didnt really give a damn about what it really was about. If an event like this is taking place, especially with media reps showing up, act mature and dont steal tones of gift bags for yourself, get drunk and only complain bout it all. As of the people that I talked to that were there, they enjoyed it as they were ones mingling with everyone, and were actually enjoying what the event was really meant to do. If people were acting mature and really were classy about where they were, they wouldnt have to have the extra security or organization for people taking more gift bags than they were entitled to. All in all, I think the effort was great and thought it was a nice event. Ya the venue wasnt super big but it was a nice, classy place and I can see the reason why it was chosen (the atmosphere was great for what you were promoting). Only thing that disappointed me were the individuals who were drunk, obnoxious, and immature.

And another thing!
Where was this pink carpet?! I was expecting a pink carpet, I was expecting a backdrop with the sponcers logo’s on it (very US weekly).
Ya, there ya go.

I know how it feels to organize events, so I would just like to thank Yvonne Kai and everyone else who worked so hard to put this event together - there are a great deal of “behind-the-scenes” stuff that cannot be seen or understood by everyone, so thank you for your effort and hard work. Having said that, I also think that constructive criticism would be beneficial:
(1) Attendees’ names could have been checked off of the guest list to avoid a shortage of gift bags/people walking away with more than one (I must admit though, I was a little disappointed with the items/amount of items that were in the giftbags)
(2) It would have been nice if bartenders walked around serving water because with that amount of people in a small space it wasn’t a pleasant experience waiting at the bar for 45 mins for water or an alcoholic beverage.
(3) I loved the shoes on each table but i agree that it would have been nice if there were more posters to enhance the notion of a THEMED event.
… and (4) the pink carpet was there… at the entrance… but barely noticeable.
Personally, I didn’t see anyone drunk, so I have nothing to say about that. I’m not out to bash the crowd in attendance or the organizers of the event; rather, I’m just providing feedback to help improve future events.
Overall, we made the most out of it and I still had a good time with my girlfriends. Thanks again for the effort in organizing this event!

I’m sorry “reality” but it’s always easier to blame the guests in attendance rather than the people who didn’t organize things properly. THE realty was that I along with other guests waited in line for an hour to get in, therefore missing half the event completely. The shortage of drink tickets and movie passes was also lack of planning and organization. They obviously had to know how many people were expecting to show since we had to buy our tickets in advance, so why would you be short on anything? Why would you sell more tickets than the venue can hold? And when you are expecting a VIP experience but instead are squashed like sardines and wait in line all night to get in, wait again for your drinks, wait again for your manicure (which I never had the time to do), then wait for your gift bag, I can understand why the crowd wouldn’t be all sweet as pie. Plus my gift bag had half the stuff we were promised missing. I love the email we got saying some guests were kleptos by taking more than one bag. Really, it was up to them to manage that properly by having a checklist.
